InternLaunch is a resume studio and outreach toolkit. This page explains, in plain language, what data we handle, why, who it goes to, and what you can control.

What we collect

  • Account details. If you sign in, your email address, plus the name and profile picture your sign-in provider (Google or GitHub) shares with us.
  • Your resume. It is always saved in your browser. If you sign in, a copy is also saved in your account so it follows you across devices.
  • Outreach drafts and your pipeline. The form you fill in, the messages we write for you and your tracker are stored in your browser only. Our servers receive the form content when you press Write messages.
  • Credits and payments. Your credit balance and a ledger of changes to it. For purchases we store the order and payment identifiers, amount and status. Card, UPI and bank details are handled entirely by Razorpay; we never see or store them.
  • Technical data. A hashed form of your IP address (used only to rate-limit abuse), standard server logs, and the cookies described below.

How AI features use your data

When you import a resume, improve a bullet, tailor to a job, chat with the assistant or generate outreach, the text you submit (resume content, a job description, the details you typed) is sent to our server and on to Google's Gemini API to produce the result. We don't keep the content of these requests unless you opt in to the programme below.

When you look up a company, the company name and website you enter are used to read that company's public website and public job boards (Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby), and are sent to the contact-data providers we use (Hunter and Apollo.io) to find people who work there. The contact details we show are business information about other people, such as a name, job title and work email address, from those providers and from the company's own site. Results are cached on our servers for up to seven days so repeat lookups are faster. A work email address from a provider is sent to your browser only after you spend a credit on that contact.

AI output can be wrong. Review everything before you use or send it.

Helping improve our AI (optional, off by default)

If you switch on “Help improve our AI” in your account menu, we store your AI prompts and the results for those requests so we can evaluate and improve our prompts and models. Before storing, we automatically remove email addresses, phone numbers and LinkedIn, GitHub and X profile links, and we drop your resume's contact block entirely. Records are linked to a pseudonymous identifier rather than your account.

Automatic removal is best-effort: it can't recognise a name or other personal detail that you wrote into free text. Only switch this on if you're comfortable with that. You can switch it off at any time, which deletes everything we stored under your identifier.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. Your browser's local storage holds your resume, outreach draft and pipeline on your device; clearing your browser data removes them.

Who we share data with

We don't sell your personal data. These providers process data on our behalf to run the service:

  • Supabase: database and sign-in.
  • Google (Gemini API): generating AI results from the text you submit.
  • Razorpay: taking and verifying payments.
  • Hunter and Apollo.io: finding people, work email addresses and company details for a company you look up.
  • Companies' own websites and public job boards: we read the public pages they publish. These requests come from our servers and contain only the company's domain, never your details.
  • Our hosting provider: serving the website and API.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Account, resume and credit data: until you delete your account or ask us to delete it.
  • Payment records: kept for as long as needed for accounting and legal obligations.
  • Rate-limit counters: about two days. Contact lookup cache: up to seven days.
  • AI-improvement data: until you switch the programme off or ask us to delete it.

Your choices and rights

  • Switch AI-improvement off at any time to delete what we stored.
  • Ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data, or to close your account.
  • Remove your resume from this device by clearing your browser's site data, or by signing out (which clears the local copy).
  • If your own details appear as a contact in a lookup and you want them removed, contact us. We'll delete them from our cache and ask our providers to stop listing them.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local data protection law, and you can raise a complaint with your local regulator.

Security

Connections use HTTPS. Application data is only reachable through our server, which checks who you are on every request, and credit and payment changes happen in guarded database functions. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong sign-in method and tell us if you notice anything wrong.

Who can use InternLaunch

InternLaunch is intended for people aged 16 and over.

Changes and contact

If we change how we handle data in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and its date.
